Biding my time

Life post TWD has not been as regimented nor as glorious, but it's certainly been full of new opportunities and equally excellent experiences. The door has opened to another great internship opportunity, where I have spent time working in the control room of a blossoming news show. I'm in charge of the timecodes, and keeping track of good takes and things of that nature. It's a completely new environment for me, but I'm learning all the time and enjoying every minute of it. I had never seen the sides for a news type program, and had no idea what the writing and teleprompting was like until working for CP TV. It's an eye opening look at what other television writing is like. It's also amazing to meet and get to know the News personalities. One of the shows main anchors is a real life Ron Burgandy...well maybe not nearly as ludicrous, or hilarious...but his on-screen personality is his natural personality. It's a fun gig, and I've been invited back to the next taping so I will see how far I can advance with these guys. On top of it all, I'm going to get a televised credit for my work which is new to me. September's been a pretty exciting month because I also officially became a male model (haha I laugh everytime I say that... but watch out Fabio). Seriously though, http://www.fender.com/features/ and, http://www.fender.com/features/fba/rumble/#/awesome . It's a trip to see my face like that. Hopefully it wont be the last time. Other more mundane updates, my writing portfolio continues to expand, and new ideas pop up everyday! LA has to be one of the greatest cities in America. Where else do you drive by high speed chases on the reg, cops with m-16's pointed at cars on the reg, 1000's of motorcyles (all together) owning the road on the reg (well maybe that one only happened once) but LA is exciting on the reg. I know I've been slacking with the blog, pretty ridiculous considering I'm currently unemployed, so expect more frequent updates. Yes, I'm aware I've said that before, but I really mean it this time... I think.
