The end, or a new beginning?

This is the long overdue review of the grand finish to my internship in the writer's room of The Walking Dead. Oh what an amazing adventure it has been. It ended with Odin and I packing up all the items in the office and creatively labeling and boxing them so that they could be stored and/or unpacked quickly and efficiently; meaning we put pictures of all the items on the boxes. A highlight of the packing was using the LAexxxpress as paper padding. If you've never experienced that gem of a paper, it's basically prostitute periodicals or a hard copy hooker craigslist. And needless to say, almost all of the advertisments are gut bustingly funny. But back to the serious stuff, after packing I handed in my keys, said my goodbyes, and parted ways with the office. It was shocking for me, how fast it all came and went, but I will definitely remember it forever. Her'es a quick recap of my TWD time: Daily, I got to rub shoulders with some of the best dramatic tv writers in the business, and through that interaction my writing improved ten fold. While I plugged away at the not so glamorous tasks of cleaning, doing runs, and being a bonified office waiter they (the badass writers) showed me how to create characters with depth and stories that grow and develop. I spent countless hours observing and assisting in the creation of what should be a smashing success hit for AMC. I met Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead along with a plethora of other graphic novels/comic books. I experienced the industry from a different perspective, and I am forever changed by the experience. I owe a special thanks to Chic Eglee and Kevin Sandler for making it all possible... when I finally win an award I'll make sure my acceptance speech includes you both. Now I'm on to my next great adventure, which includes interning on the front lines of a blossoming TV show, and writing my ass off. I'll catch you on the flip side...
